A division of BBK, OnePlus Corporation gained fame thanks to its flagship smartphones at a low price. True, from generation to generation, they only became more expensive. In 2019, the manufacturer decided to “go back to basics” by releasing the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. And the first is somewhat cheaper than the second, which can attract buyers.
The OnePlus 7 smartphone with 8GB RAM & 256GB storage variant has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs 37,999. While the OnePlus 7 Pro is available in Nebula Blue, goldfish Almond color, and Mirror Gray, the regular OnePlus 7 comes in Mirror Gray and a new Red variant.
OnePlus 7 received almost the same screen as last year’s OnePlus 6T. This is a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 × 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. Here is the same drop-shaped neckline, which in 2019 does not look so fresh, especially against the background of decisions from competitors. The screen is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass. On-site and a fingerprint scanner, built-in display. As the manufacturer says, it works faster than its predecessor.
OnePlus 7 features a top-end Qualcomm processor in 2019 – a Snapdragon 855 with 8 cores running at up to 2.8 GHz. The video accelerator here is Adreno 640, this smartphone will run all modern games at maximum settings. The phone is offered in two memory configurations – 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of constant, or 8/256 GB. By the way, now OnePlus uses UFS 3.0 flash memory, which is even faster.
Expanding the drive with a memory card will not succeed, there was only room for two Nano-SIM in the tray. OnePlus has traditionally spared no interfaces for its smartphones. OnePlus 7 has accurate Dual GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and other pleasures of modern telecom.
The smartphone still lacks a 3.5mm audio jack, all wired connections are on the USB Type-C port. It is interesting that, unlike other manufacturers, OnePlus continues to put in the delivery set adapter with Type-C to 3.5 mm.
Although the “OnePlus 7” is not positioned as the Company’s best photography flagship phone, it has received one of the most advanced cameras on the market. This features a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor with an aperture of f / 1.7.
We saw it in other smartphones of 2019, and it has some trick – you can get 48 megapixels in a special mode, and “on the machine” you get 12-megapixel shots. Together with the main sensor, a 5-megapixel camera is installed here that assesses the depth of the scene. Simply put, it is needed for taking pictures with blur background. The smartphone has an optical stabilization system that will allow you to get sharp photos and videos without shaking, taking off on the go.
The front camera of OnePlus 7 is located in a teardrop-shaped cut-out and has a resolution of 16 megapixels. It allows you to record Full HD-video with electronic image stabilization.
In terms of autonomy, the seventh generation has not changed, compared with its predecessor. The smartphone packs 3700 mAh battery, capable of being powered by fast charging power of 20 watts. However, it is possible that OnePlus 7 will work a little longer than the OnePlus 6T because the Snapdragon 855 chipset is more energy efficient.
