Google has launched the second generation of the Google Glass Enterprise Edition, these new Google Glass are designed only for commercial use.

The Google Glass went on the market in 2013 and is one of the first augmented reality devices that uses a pico projector to project computer generated images in the user’s eyes, so the image looks like “floating” in the real world.

The earliest release of Google Glass failed to attract consumers, because of this Google has been working on Enterprise Edition for the past several years. Google glasses are expensive and the built-in camera raises privacy issues. In 2015, the consumer version of Google Glass has been discontinued.

The business version of Google Glas’s second generation uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 processor, this processor will provide a longer battery life because it is focused on the VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality). The brand Smith Optics was responsible for developing the frame of the glasses that looks a lot like normal glasses, which means that the glasses are smaller than the products of the competition.

The Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 is priced at $999, but some companies can buy them at a lower price, provided they have business with Google and have a contract. The price is much lower than the HoloLens 2 glasses that Microsoft offers to businesses and even the military, starting at $3,500.

Microsoft launched the HoloLens 2 in February of this year. These glasses are more powerful than Google Glass, they can cover the real world, and users can see it through both eyes. The business version of Google Glas’s second generation is the same as the first generation, with a small projector installed in front of a single eye.

The new Google glasses are based on the Android platform and are easier to distribute to employees than the first generation because they support the management of mobile devices.

Mobile device management is used to configure applications and services for devices such as mobile phones and tablets and to control how employees use the devices. For example, if an employee loses a device, the lost device is disabled.

Google said companies such as HB Fuller, Sutter Health, Deutsche Post Group, and AGCO have used Google Glass in the logistics, manufacturing and service industries.
