Earlier, Yandex and Hyundai teamed together to jointly develop control systems for Level 4 and Level 5 autonomous vehicles, thus combining Yandex’s self-driving technologies with Hyundai Mobis’ extensive experience in the automobile industry. The collaboration also allows the companies to expand into other areas of cooperation, hence developing joint products that will integrate Yandex technologies, including speech, navigation, and mapping.

Now, Hyundai Mobis announced to develop an independent DDREM system a technology that will allow riders to determine that the driver is fatigued. So, automatic driving will take over to a safe place until an emergency service comes to the rescue.

Hyundai Mobis is one of the world’s ten largest automobile component manufacturers. The company primarily focuses on new technologies and is developing its driverless vehicle, M. BILLY. Hyundai Mobis is an affiliate of the Hyundai Motor Group, one of the world’s top five car manufacturers and the maker of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis cars. The facelifted Hyundai Creta is getting a good market response. The automatic variants are sold in fewer numbers compared to their manual siblings.

Hyundai also participated in the CES Asia 2019, presenting the automatic driving feature during the first media conference in China. This new feature will no doubt limit traffic accidents making the journey much safer.
