A few hours after the start of the most anticipated video game fair for players from around the world, the Electronic Entertainment Expo ( E3 ), “Square Enix,” presented the trailer of the remake of the videogame “Final Fantasy VII” and announced the date of premiere.

In addition to the gameplay presented on Monday, “Square Enix” confirmed that the release of the new installment in the series will be on March 3, 2020, and E3 attendees will be able to try the game even though Sony – and so Both PlayStation – will not have a stand at the convention.

The revelation occurred first during a saga music concert in Los Angeles, California, where E3 is developed. At the end of the show, attendees received the news, which was immediately confirmed by the developer on their social networks.

The remake will include a system of fights that will be a hybrid between combat based on strategy and action in real time; There will be a “tactical mode” where the time of the game will be encouraged so that players can choose commands to attack and defend.

The trailer is focused on Midgar, one of the main cities in the series, and shows Sephiroth, the game’s main antagonist, as well as more beloved characters such as Tifa and the hero of the delivery, Cloud Strife.

The story shows “a world dominated by the electric company Shinra, a sinister corporation that controls the mako energy, the life force of the planet”, according to the developer’s description.

“In the huge city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization called “Avalanche “intensifies its resistance, Cloud Strife, a former member of the elite unit, Soldier turned mercenary, lends its help to the group without knowing the epic consequences this will entail.” they added.

The Final Fantasy franchise began with the publication of the first installment in 1987. Ten years later, the seventh volume came out, one of the most famous and loved by the followers of the saga.

During E3 of 2015, “Square Enix” announced that it was developing a complete remake of the game. However, since then very few details have been released. The information has been so scarce that even some specialized media speculated that it would never come to an end. Others, however, have mentioned that the game could be part of a more ambitious project with more video games in the future focused on the same theme.
