The new Xiaomi Mi Band 4 has been presented officially in China and confirms many of the things we already knew after some rumors and leaks. Although the most important thing is that it is again positioned as the ideal wearable for those who do not intend to invest in an intelligent watch.
The new Mi Band 4 of Xiaomi maintains the same aesthetic line of previous versions. A device-shaped capsule that we can place with different style colorful bracelets. There will even be a special edition Mi Band 4 inspired by The Avengers edition, in addition to having some extra detail.
The new one comes with almost the same dimensions, what stands out of as the new generation is its AMOLED color screen. Now we have a 0.95-inch panel with a resolution of 240 x 140 pixels. Greater screen to offer almost 40% more space when it comes to displaying information.
Another detail that remains is the touch button that allows you to control the interaction with the different menus and settings available from the wristband. The rest as you already know can be managed from the application for mobile phone with iOS 9 or higher and Android 4.4 or higher.
Other features say that it has water protection and capacity to withstand immersions up to 50 meters deep, 16 MB of memory, as well as heart rate sensor, accelerometer, Bluetooth 5.0 and option to acquire a model with NFC chip.
Thanks to the cardiac sensor with which you can monitor the frequency for 24 hours and send notices if necessary. The Mi Band 4 is prepared for the quantification of various physical activities, such as riding a bicycle, running, swimming, surfing, static exercises, etc. And yes, also sleep monitoring, a more useful feature than you might think.
However, it is important to highlight the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 model with NFC chip, which in addition to offering the option of making payments with the wristband (through the use of QR codes and the Alipay system), will also allow the use of voice commands with which to control, for example, connected devices that we have at home and from which Xiaomi has a good catalog. The drawback is that we do not know if its assistant, Xiao AI, will leave Chinese lands to support other languages. If it does, it will be a piece of great news.
For now, the new Mi Band 4 is available only in China. There is no official confirmation with the arrival date to the rest of the countries. Regarding the price, the new Mi Band 4 would cost about CNY 169 (Rs. 1,700) for the normal version, and cost CNY 229 (Rs. 2,300) for the version that includes NFC.
