Samsung Is Preparing a Budget Tablet Galaxy Tab an 8.0 (2019)

Although currently a low-end market, the tablet industry is one of Samsung’s targets for the coming months. According to the German website WinFuture, the South Korean manufacturer is expected due to launch a series of Galaxy A TAB new models.

According to network sources, Samsung will soon release the relatively inexpensive Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet computer in the 2019 model range. According to available information, the new product will receive an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels. Support for the S-Pen will most likely not be provided.

The hardware will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 processor. This chip contains four ARM Cortex-A53 computing cores with a clock frequency up to 2.0 GHz. Graphics processing busy accelerator Adreno 504. The platform provides support for wireless Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0.

The tablet will carry onboard 2 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 32 GB. Its front camera resolution is expected at the 2-megapixel camera for video calling and selfie features, while the main rear camera is expected to include an autofocus system.

The Android 9 Pie operating system will be used as a software platform. Samsung is likely to offer a modification of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) with support for fourth-generation mobile communication (4G / LTE). The price will be from 150 to 200 US dollars.

According to IDC estimates, in the first quarter of this year, approximately 9.7 million tablets were shipped to the EMEA market (including Europe, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa). It is 10.9% less compared to the first quarter of 2018, when shipments were 10.8 million units.

The good news in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2019 is that it will come with the Android Pie operating system, so it is perfectly updated when put on sale, and, yes, it is not expected to include a fingerprint reader or facial recognition in search of being as economical as possible. Important to note that, surprisingly, this model reaches the market both in a WiFi-only version and in another that is compatible with SIM cards. Therefore, it will be possible to use 4G connections.
