Honor Band 5: First official image and features leaked

Honor Band 5

The CEO of Honor, George Zhao, has hinted at some of the new features that will bring his Honor Band 5 activity band, as well as an image of it.

According to Honor’s executive director, the fitness bracelet will come with features normally reserved for high-end wristbands, including a blood oxygen level monitor, fatigue detection and sleep recorder.

You will also have a way to detect hypoxia, which is a state that indicates that oxygen is not meeting your body’s needs. It can have a negative impact on the heart or lungs, and this bracelet will allow you to detect if you have it.

These new features seem to be the most interesting part of the new generation fitness bracelet, especially because the image included in the Weibo publication seems to show a product that looks similar to Honor Band 4.

The design of the Honor Band 4 was one of its highlights, so it makes sense for the company to maintain its appearance, including the color screen and a rounded design that fits comfortably on your wrist. The Honor Band 4 was announced in September 2018, so it would make sense if we see an improved product from the company in the coming months.

The new Honor Band 5 is expected to include 6-axis IMU sensor, capable of detecting breaststroke style while swimming, as well as knowing the distance, rounds, number of beats, SWOLF index (measure of efficiency that measures the relationship between the distance you travel per stroke and the number of strokes you give at different distances), in addition to the calories burned in the water.

The new Honor Band 5 is expected to have dimensions of 4.3 x 1.7x 1.1 cm, in addition to a weight of only 22.7 grams and mount an AMOLED screen. It has a look very similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi Band 4, especially with that start button so characteristic.
