GAC New Energy Automobile Co. Ltd, an electric car manufacturer, has unveiled the Aion LX, its new flagship model in the Aion range. Premiering at the event of Auto Shanghai 2019, the Aion LX is equipped with the latest smart driving technology.
At the time of the launch, the company claimed that the battery life would exceed 600 kilometers. However, in an update in July it was revealed that the final release of the pre-sold Aion LX would be launched at the end of August with a battery life exceeding 650 km. There is no doubt that the new car will be the longest pure electric production car in the current life.
Prior to the Aion LX’s NEDc, the Tesla Model X was the benchmark, but now, Aion LX’s NEDC is 650 kilometers, which is equivalent to 75 kilometers longer than the most extended model X long battery life. At the same time, the cruising range of the mainstream high-performance pure electric SUV is 100-150 km longer.

In the 2nd quarter of 2018, GAC released the pure electric transmission GE3 530. The official said that the NEDC mileage is 410 kilometers. However, the GE3 530 was discontinued only half a year after its launch.
