Samsung Electronics today announced that the world’s first-ever foldable 5G mobile phone, Samsung Galaxy Fold which will be available in Korea from 6th September. Later Galaxy Fold will be available in France, Germany, Singapore, U.K., U.S., and some other countries in Cosmos Black and Space Silver.
The Galaxy Fold opens up to a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display, and the users can do much more than just multitasking. Galaxy Fold breaks the barrier imposed on smartphones by the display screen size and the question of portability.
Galaxy Fold appears to have fixed all of these problems. Incorporating all the recommended features of the users, Samsung created the UX and it has the potential to pave the path for more innovative smartphones. With the help of the App continuity, a video gets a smooth transition from the closed display screen to the bigger, open screen. Its Multi-Active Window lets multiple apps run at once in real-time.
Samsung Galaxy Fold features a 7.3 inches QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display. The cover display is of 4.6 inches with HD+ Super AMOLED Display. It is very light and weighs only 276g. The cover camera comes with a selfie camera of 10 MP and features a dual front camera. On its rear side, it has a triple camera setup with a 16MP Ultra Wide Camera, 12 MP Wide Angle Camera, and a 12MP Telephoto Camera. It comes with 12GB RAM with 512 GB internal storage and runs on a 4389mAh dual battery with the capacity for fast charging both using the wired and the wireless charger.
The Wireless PowerShare is limited to Samsung or other smartphones with WPC Qi wireless charging. As of now the Galaxy Fold operates on Android 9 and supports both fingerprint lock and facial recognition.
Every Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with exclusive access to personalized customer care services. Samsung Newsroom has not announced the price for the Galaxy Fold yet.
