#SmartLiving 2020: Xiaomi India’s next big event on Sept 17

Xiaomi India Event

Xiaomi India has sent out invites for launching an event which is to take place on September 17th, and from the invites, it looks like Xiaomi India will introduce a brand new smart TV this September. Twitter went into a frenzy after the invites went out, and Xiaomi has not revealed any details regarding the launch event, Smarter Living 2020 as of yet in the comments section, only dropping hints.

Even though it is not clear yet about the nature and specifications of this Mi TV but if we are to make an educated guess, the upcoming TV has to be the Redmi 70-inch TV which recently launched in China. Only a year or so back, Xiaomi India got into the smart TV business and in the matter of a small period, it rose to the rank of being the Number 1 smartphone TV brand in this country.

Xiaomi’s market in India is one of the largest markets of Xiaomi, and it is only natural that Xiaomi should not keep the Indian market deprived of the products already launched in China. However, Remi GM Lu Weibing confirmed last month when the TV was launched that it might take them some time for the TV to reach Indian markets. This may also mean that the TV which everyone got a sneak-peak of may not be the 70-inch one but a smart TV nonetheless.

As is evident from Manu Jain’s tweet, Xiaomi will not release only one product but a plethora of devices ranging from Xiaomi smart home products to smart bands. Twitter is exploding with speculations as to what the soon-to-be-announced devices might be. Some users are of the belief that Xiaomi will announce the Mi Vacuum cleaner, Mi doorbell, Mi Band 4 on September 17. Even though the particulars of the Xiaomi Smarter Living 2020 event is kept all hushed, there is no doubt that it will be one of the biggest events here.
