It is not yet Gears 5 release day, but Microsoft is letting people play early before its official release. The official launch is scheduled for September 10 on Xbox One but for gamers who want Gears 5 early access; this can be achieved through having an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, or a pre-order of Gears 5: Ultimate Edition.
The early access for Gears 5 had begun at 9:00 PM on September 5th for those lucky ones who have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription or a pre-order of Gears 5: Ultimate Edition. As per official confirmation Gears 5 Standard Edition will be available to pick up on September 9 just a few hours earlier than the digital version.
Gears 5 feels like a coming-of-age moment for Xbox Game Pass. Gears of War 5 is reviewing well and is sure to serve as an excellent ad. As per the official announcement “new subscribers can join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate today and get their first two months for $2 now through Sept. 30.”
