Google Play tweeted about its new free pass for the users to enjoy a whole range of ad-free apps and games. Play Pass is a subscription service which gives the users access to a plethora of apps and games without having to worry about the in-app ads.

Play Pass requires its users to pay its fee monthly which would guarantee access to a library of apps and games, not only ad-free but also free of in-app purchases. Google was working on this Play Pass service since July. Now it appears that Google is finally done with testing the Play Pass and will soon hit the Google PlayStore shelf for purchase.

Even though the message is very brief and does not reveal at all the details regarding the payment or the date when the Play Pass will be released. However, a tester of the Pass posted a screenshot back in July which gave out some information about the new Play Pass.

At that time when the screenshot was posted the subscription was priced at $4.99/month, and the subscription covered both the games and apps.

Recently there has been a demand for ad-free apps or even games. The ads which last from a few seconds to a few minutes have proved themselves to be a nuance to the people who use the apps or play the games regularly.

However, for the users to pay for a premium version of either the app or the game individually seemed like an expensive feat. When Google’s Play Pass was announced, it seemed somewhat like Apple Arcade which has a similar subscription to offer.

While Apple Arcade has promised to offer games from major developers made exclusively for the Apple Arcade subscription holders, it is not sure yet whether the Google Play Pass would offer a similar service o not.
