Asus launched its second-generation gaming-centric ROG Phone 2 at an event in New Delhi. The phone comes with upgraded ultrasonic Air Triggers 2 for gaming, stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra support and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Another notable improvement is the phone’s display, which boasts of a 120Hz refresh rate.
The ROG Phone 2 touts a 6.59 AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate along with 1ms latency. It comes with a Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The novelty’s rear-facing camera is that similar to the Zenfone 6 (Asus 6z) with a 48MP+13MP configuration. However, the ROG Phone 2, unlike the Zenfone 6, does not have a flip-up mechanism. A 24MP front-facing camera takes care of selfie duties.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 price is set at Rs. 37,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in India. It will be a big billion-day special product on Flipkart. The phone will start selling on September 30, 2019, at 11.00 am. There will also be a six-month no-cost EMI option for the device.
For the launch offers, Flipkart will offer 10 percent instant discount on purchases made using ICICI bank credit cards, and an equivalent discount for orders using Axis bank credit and debit cards.
