Nokia 6.2 Launched in India; Priced at Rs. 15,999

HMB Global finally introduced Nokia 6.2 to the Indian market. The smartphone was released in September 2019 at the IFA 2019 along with the Nokia 7.2 smartphone.

The Nokia 7.2 runs on Snapdragon 636 octa-core SoC and has a bigger battery as compared to its earlier models. The Nokia handset sports a 6.3-inch PureView display with full HD+ 1080x 2340 pixels resolution, HDR 10 PureDisplay. It has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and comes protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The polymer composite frame makes it twice as strong as polycarbonate and half the weight of aluminum. The smartphone also features Adreno 509 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB which can be expanded up to 512 GB.

Following the latest trend, the smartphone has a triple camera set up at the back. The three cameras are arranged in a circular module. The setup consists of a 16-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel secondary depth unit, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with LED flash.

The selfie camera is of 8MP. Other than the three cameras, the rear end also houses a fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and Type-C 2.0. The Nokia 6.2 runs on a 3,500mAh battery.

The smartphone has Android 9 Pie as its operating system but Nokia has assured that it will bring Android 10 by the end of this year.

In India, Nokia launched only the 4 GB variant of the smartphone even though globally a 3GB RAM variant is also available. There is no news regarding the availability of the 3GB smartphone. If this version ever becomes available in India, the pricing for it would be different too from the 4GB variant.

The Nokia 6.2 is priced at Rs 15,999 and is available in two color options, Ceramic Black and Ice only on Amazon. Launch offers include 10 percent cashback up to Rs 2,000 on a minimum purchase of Rs 3,000 with HDFC Bank Debit cards, 5 percent instant discount with HSBC cashback card, no-cost EMI option, and up to Rs 9,400 off on exchange.
