Samsung Electronics, in partnership with Mobeewave, have launched an NFC-enabled contactless payment acceptance solution on mobile devices globally starting Oct 15, 2019. Samsung has announced its collaboration with a global pioneer in contactless payment acceptance solutions to deploy NFC-enabled contactless payment acceptance.
We’re excited to launch this solution with our strategic partner, Mobeewave. Their patented contactless payment processing platform is the only mobile-based solution accepting Mastercard, Visa and Interac transactions in a pilot in Canada. – Sunny Park, VP, and Head of Service Operation Group, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung.
The two companies will deploy the point-of-sale service, Samsung POS, on Tuesday in Canada and plan to expand the solution globally within 2020. The new solution allows merchants to just accept debit and credit payments solely by tapping the cards, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay wallets onto Samsung NFC-enabled devices, subsequently avoiding the need for any other additional hardware.
Earlier this month Samsung announced Samsung Pay Cash, which enabled users to manage their budgets by setting up a prepaid balance, along with making international money transfers through services provided in Samsung Pay by Travelex. In addition, Samsung conjointly unrolled cash Transfer support in Samsung Pay.
