This year Google announced a slew of products. Alongside the Pixel 4 and Pixelbook Go launch, the search engine giant also announced the Nest Mini and Nest Wifi.

Google Nest Mini looks very similar to the Home Mini announced in 2017. It looks almost precisely the same as its antecedent, with a puck-like design enclosed in the fabric on the top half, and plastic on the base.

The body of the Google Nest Mini is made of recycled materials as according to Google. As per the design, the only difference is on the underside of the device, which now comes with a little hole to let the device hang on a wall using a screw or other kind of support.

It comes with fabric made with 100% recycled plastic bottles; the $49 smart speaker boasts improved sound over its predecessor. The third mic for callers to perceive sound better in noisy surroundings will be a welcome addition for people looking to use its new home intercom and voice calling functionality.

Whereas the Google Nest Wifi is made of a new, bulbous “Router” and a separate similarly shaped “Point” that now extends the coverage up to 25 percent further than the previous generation – which Google claims is enough for a 3,800 square foot home with one Router and one Point.  The “Point” has a Google Assistant smart speaker built-in, though.

Google Nest Wifi blankets spaces with wifi and claims to enable 25% better internet coverage in approximately 80% of U.S. homes. The two-pack comes with a price tag of $269, and the three-packs for $349, with preorders starting today and the devices, will be available on November 4th in the US.
