A partnership between the eCommerce platform Flipkart and Nokia was announced on Wednesday. Declares that Flipkart will be launching Smart TVs under the brand name of Nokia, a first of sorts for Nokia on a global level.

Contributing to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, these Smart TVs that will reportedly be manufactured in India will feature the JBL sound system.

According to Flipkart who would take the responsibility of manufacturing and distributing Nokia-branded Smart TVs and also oversee end-to-end sales and market strategy, this project would create numerous employment opportunities in the country.
