Jumanji: Reverse the Curse with Sony and Void to give a unique VR affair

Author at TechGenyz Entertainment
Jumanji Reverse The Curse
Sony Pictures And Void To Bring Jumanji: Reverse The Curse

With the Virtual world becoming the new reality of our lives at the current time, the game and the VR companies are opting for the games that give you the experience of Virtual world in a unique way. It seems like Sony has also chosen to do something like that. It is going to release the Jumanji: Reverse the Curse in collaboration with VOID. The title will be available at the select VOID location in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia from November 27.

The VOID actually focuses on virtual reality experiences and the future of entertainment programs globally. It allows the world to experience fully-immersive worlds that, until now, have only lived in the imagination by combining state-of-the-art VR technology, physical stages and multi-sensory effects, including touch and smell, with Hollywood characters and storylines. Along with Sony Pictures Virtual Reality, The VOID will be coming with Jumanji: Reverse the Curse after their first successful collaboration in Ghostbusters™: Dimension.

Jumanji: The Next Level will hit the US theatres on December 13 and both of the companies are sure that  Jumanji: Reverse the Curse will surely give the fans “the ability to truly enter another game, taking on the form of its heroes, Dr. Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Professor Oberon and “Mouse” Finbar, to save Jumanji from a new dark and mysterious villain”. A quest will be available for the fans where they can “rescue the Scepter of Se’payu containing the Red Jewel of Jumanji and return it to the temple from which it was stolen”. They will be able to experience the challenges of the Jumanji world just like the characters in the movie.

While mentioning the collaboration, Curtis Hickman, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of The VOID said:

“Since first collaborating on Ghostbusters™: Dimension, Sony Pictures Virtual Reality has continued to believe in our unique ability to bring stories to life in a fully immersive, social and dynamic way. Through close collaboration on this project, we have been able to develop a dimension that is more interactive and immersive than any VOID experience has ever been before. Utilizing new technology and more illusion design, Jumanji: Reverse the Curse is a true adventure that travelers will want to experience over and over again”. – Jake Zim, SVP, virtual reality, Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Jake Zim, SVP of virtual reality, Sony Pictures Entertainment is sure of the success of the title game. He said:

“As the characters in Jumanji are pulled into the game, we naturally had the idea to create a VR experience where fans can do the same.  What’s more fun for moviegoers than to have the chance to live in VR as the characters they love – and, like in the movie, players will have to work together as a team to win the game and save Jumanji. We had a fantastic experience working with The VOID with Ghostbusters: Dimension and are excited to take immersive entertainment to the next level with this new Jumanji story”.

Jumanji: Reverse the Curse tickets will be available from November 16 and will be made available at selected VOID locations from November 27. The location list given by the company is as follows:
