Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 to be available in December

Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor

Qualcomm has officially announced that its annual Snapdragon Technology Summit 2019 will take place in Maui, Hawaii from December 3 through to December 5, 2019. It is not yet clear as to what new products Qualcomm will introduce at the Summit. But one thing is clear, Qualcomm’s new generation Snapdragon 865 mobile processor will be introduced officially at the Summit.

The extensive details about the Summit or its schedule are not yet known. Similarly, very little details are known about the new processor, the Snapdragon 865. Everything that is public knowledge about the new processor comes solely from the previous benchmark tests. They show that the Snapdragon 865 has a single-core score of 4,034 and a multicore score of 12100.

The power efficiency is also supposed to increase. Reportedly, for the Snapdragon 865, power efficiency will increase by 20%. At the core of the new process lies a custom Kryo architecture. However, the details about the custom architecture such as what new details will be included or what will be used to boost up the performance, are not known yet. Hopefully, Qualcomm will release the details soon. If that is not the case, everything about the processor will be unveiled at the Summit.

Even though details about Snapdragon 865 are not known, Qualcomm has already announced its phone which will be powered by the new processor.

Qualcomm’s next 8848 will be powered by Snapdragon 8848. In all probability, the smartphone will be called Titanium M6 5G, and as the name suggests, it is going to be a smartphone with a 5G network. Even though 8848 is the first company to announce the new processor, it does not mean that it is going to be the first-ever handset to feature the processor.

Since Qualcomm has not put a date on the release of the Snapdragon 865. In this case, Samsung is at the forefront. According to past records, Samsung has always been the first company to make Qualcomm’s chipsets available worldwide.
