Ferrari is an Italian luxury sports car manufacturer that always delivers cars with exceptional designs, fabulous exterior and interior, and powerful engines. Sometimes it becomes difficult to choose only one of them. This Maranello based sports car company had already released four cars earlier this year that include F8 Tributo, F8 Tributo Spider, 812 GTS, SF90 Stradale. They have added one more car to their list, which might be the finest of them all. Ferrari Roma is a front-engined coupe sports car that is named after Italy’s capital and it totally justifies it.
The car represents the “carefree, pleasurable way of life that characterized Rome in the 1950s and ’60s”. It was released on November 13th in the city of Italy.
The design of the new Ferrari Roma Coupe
Ferrari is surely an ace when it comes to design a car. This Ferrari Rome Coupe inspired model is a combination of the Portofino and the higher-tech SF90 Stradale. It comes with a 2+ coupé and a timeless design that will surely give you a whole new driving experience. The car has only two front seats, however, you get some space behind them as storage.
Roma has a wheelbase of 105 inches along with relatively clean sides and taillights. We don’t have any information regarding other materials used for the car. It will be soon disclosed with time. It is comparably light-weighted too, as it weighs around 3,245 pounds while the Portofino has a weight of 3,406 pounds. Therefore it makes it faster than the previous ones.
The car has “long, ultra-sleek lines that sweep back from the bonnet, highlighting the spare silhouette of the flanks and the compact, set- back, fastback cabin volume”. According to Ferrari, the superfluous design is intentionally removed to create a “new radiator grille concept”.
The headlights of this car are traversed by a horizontal light strip to enhance the structure beneath the car’s skin. Even “the wraparound rear screen incorporates an active aero device to preserve that signature purity form, while the twin tail lights” are set like gen into the volume.
Power-packed engine
From great design to the powerful engine Roma has it all. The car is coupled with a front-mid-mounted 3.9-liter 90-degree turbocharged V8, producing a maximum 611 hp from 5,750 to 7,500 rpm and 561 lb-ft of torque from 3,000 to 5,760 rpm. The engine still works as internal combustion only however, we hope to see the electrified version of it. Roma uses the new eight-speed DCT gearbox just like the SF90 Stradale.
Interior
As for all the Ferrari cars, Roma Coupe is also meant for sports car lovers. The symmetrical interior which opts for a more organic distribution of space and functions, so that the passenger feels extremely involved in the driving. Moreover, the interior includes “two driver and passenger safety cells, an evolution of the Dual Cockpit concept”. The cockpit bears the surfaces and the other functions. The dashboard comes with various technologies and offers individual access to the HVAC controls, multimedia, and navigation.
The price of the car isn’t announced yet. Not looking at the Roma’s specifics and Ferrari’s reputation, it’s not going to be cheap. We will get back to you as soon as we get further information.
