Xiaomi is always looking for ways to revamp its already large line of devices to provide even more variations for its customers looking for better overall performance options in line with the processing implemented in the devices.

The Redmi subsidiary recently announced a new variant of the Note 8 Pro smartphone with more RAM and internal storage available, making the mobile market have this even more robust version of the premium device launched earlier this fall.

Beyond its MediaTek processor and its great controversy generated around the bad reputation of this, the new Redmi Note 8 Pro has proven to be a great smartphone and even today its price is unrivaled.

Now, expanding its possibilities, Xiaomi China has launched a new variant of the Redmi Note 8 Pro equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A fairly high capacity that joins the 6/64GB, 6/128GB and 8/128GB variants of the World of Warcraft version already existing in China.

As said, this new storage variant has been launched in China at a price of 1,899 yuan at about $270. Still, for now, it is not known for sure if it will also expand the range of storage variants available in its global version.

For those who don’t know, the Redmi Note 8 Pro was launched with a 6.53-inch “IPS LCD display with 2340 x 1080 pixel resolution, 91% screen-body ratio,” TUV Rheinland “certification, which filters out harmful blue rays, and glass with the protection of Gorilla Glass 5.

Inside we have the MediaTek Helio G90T processor. In the camera department, there are four sensors that add up to 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP, while the front one is 20MP. To keep the device powered on, Xiaomi inserted a powerful 4,500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology.

In software, the Android Pie-based MIUI 10 interface is factory installed with “Game Turbo 2.0” enabled.
