With the advent of the 5G network in the near future, many smartphone manufacturing companies are bringing out devices that would be compatible with the 5G network. Samsung is already working hard in bringing to the market its own 5G device.

It is natural that other companies too would pick up early on that idea and start launching or manufacturing devices compatible with the fastest 5G network. According to a Japanese media house, Sumahoinfo, Sony is not far behind designing and manufacturing its own 5G mobile phones.

The new 5G phones will reportedly be from Sony’s extremely popular Xperia series. At the MWC conference that is scheduled to take place sometime next year, Sony Mobile may release the new Xperia flagship.

Here are some things you need to know about the new Xperia flagship. The name of the upcoming flagship of Sony Xperia is likely to be Xperia 1.1 5G. The new set of smartphones will come equipped with super-wide-angle, standard, and other lenses. The super wide-angle is build to magnify picture 0.6 times, and the standard viewing camera will come with 1x zoom.

As for the telephoto lens, the specific focal length is not known yet but it is expected to carry 5 times zoom lens for 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom. Moreover, the upcoming smartphone will run on the fast Snapdragon 865 processor. Other specifications of Sony Xperia 1.1 5G are yet to surface.
