While the whole world is witnessing a revolution in the technical industry, telecommunication is also making advancement in its own field. After the 4G connectivity revolution, the world is going to witness its first 5G dual-mode phone. Honor has released its new V30 series with 5G dual-mode nationwide. The smartphone was officially released at a press conference in Beijing, China on November 26.

Display
The initial pictures show that the Honor V30 series is available in four color variants and comes with a display of 6.57 inches. Along with this, the display has IPS LCD and has 1080×2400 px, 401 PPI resolution. The screen ratio is of 91.46% and it uses side fingerprint keys.
Configuration
In terms of configuration, the Honor V30 series is equipped with Kirin 990+ Barron 5000 5G dual-mode chip which enhances its performance rate. Its octa-core processor comprises of a 2.86GHz dual-core Cortex A76, a 2.09GHz dual-core Cortex A76, and a 1.86GHz quad-core Cortex A55 processors. The smartphone also has Mali-G76 MP16 GPU which adds up better graphics.
Cameras
Honor V30 is equipped with ultra-sensitive AI HDR+ technology that makes it perfect for photography. The Honor V30 Standard Edition comes with a 40-megapixel rear camera with ultra-sensitive lens + 8-megapixel zoom lens + 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens while the Honor V30 PRO is equipped with a SONY IMX600 RYYB 40-megapixel ultra-sensitive rear camera, a 12-megapixel movie lens, and an 8-megapixel triple optical zoom telephoto lens.
As for the front cameras, Honor V30 is equipped with a front ultra-wide-angle dual camera with a 32-megapixel high-definition main front camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle combination, supporting automatic lighting, natural beauty algorithms, and AI HDR+.
Battery and other features
The Honor V30 comes with a 4200mAh battery and the Honor V30 Pro has a battery back up of 4100mAh. It is also equipped with a new generation of 27W Honor wireless super-fast charging and supports 40W Honor wired super-fast charging, 7.5W wireless fast charging, and wireless reverse charging.
The Honor V30 series comes with Magic UI 3.0 system and adds up new features such as dark mode, and supports one-touch connection. Additionally, the screen can be directly projected to the PC screen for mutual resource transfer operations and can directly copy photos or text from the mobile phone gallery to the PC.
In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G VoLTE networks, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, Glonass, USB Type-C, etc.
The Honor V30 series is available in four color options – Icelandic Fantasy land, Magic Night Star River, Charm Starfish Blue, and Dawn Orange.
Price and availability
Honor V30 6GB + 128GB variant is available at 3299 yuan and the 8GB + 128GB variant has a retail price of 3699 yuan. The Honor V30 PRO 8GB + 128GB variant has a price of 3899 yuan and the 8GB + 256GB variant retails at 4199 yuan in the Chinese market.
The Honor V30 is expected to launch in India on January 9, 2020, at a possible retail price of 33,590 INR.
