Dubai Police already owns a set of luxury cars. Now the world-famous name of Tesla is going to be associated with the expensive fleet of cars. Reportedly, the next supercar that the Dubai Police is fixating on is Tesla’s Cybertruck.

The Dubai Police authorities shared a photo of the new luxurious police vehicle on Twitter with the caption: “#CyberTruck Dubai Police- 2020.” It is expected that the Tesla CyberTruck will be another gem to Dubai Police’s fleet as soon as the vehicle hits the market.

Interestingly, Tesla is not the only company whose car is going to be on the police force. On 25th November 2019, Dubai Police had announced that Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S will also be joining as another addition to the plethora of luxurious patrol cars. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S is capable of a top speed of 315km/hr.

Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, said the new car will help enhance security presence in tourist destinations, such as the Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Jumeirah Beach Residence, and La Mer.

Other reputed names such as Ashton Martin One-77, a Bentley Continental GT, a Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF, Lamborghini Aventador and more are already a part of the star-fleet.

Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk said that just after a week of being unveiled, the Cybertruck had already received pre-orders of 200,000. The fact that during the demonstration the so-called bulletproof glasses shattered did not matter at all to the enthusiasts. However, it is not clear yet as to when Dubai Police will get their very own Cybertruck.

The supercar is made from stainless steel, the same kind that is used for SpaceX rockets. The pricing starts at a whopping $39,900.

Musk has already talked the supercar up and he has claimed that the car has the ability to tow up to 14,000 pounds, and is a better sports car than the Porsche 911.
