Vivo launched the latest smartphone from its Z-series, the brand new Vivo Z5i. The new smartphone looks somewhat similar to the Vivo Z5 but has similar features of the Vivo U3.

The new Vivo Z5i features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ TFT LTPS display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The ultra-thin bezel accounts for its 90.30 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 675 SoC.

The Vivo Z5i houses a triple camera set-up on its back with a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.78 lens and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 2 MP tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens. The selfie camera is of high resolution with a whopping 16 MP camera and an f/2.0 aperture.

The Vivo Z5i comes with 128 GB of internal memory and 8GB of RAM. The memory can be expanded up to 256 GB through a microSD card. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

For privacy purposes, the smartphone features a fingerprint sensor that is mounted on its back right beside the triple-back cameras. Moreover, the smartphone runs on a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 18W fast charging.

Coming to its pricing, the Vivo Z5i will be offered at CNY 1,798 or approximate INR 18,300. This price is set for the 8GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant. As for the other variant, no information is known yet. Vivo is offering two color variants for this smartphone, Jade Blue and Onyx Black.

As of now, the smartphone will go on sale in China through Vivo’s online store. The rest of the world will, hopefully, receive the latest smartphone from Vivo soon as the company is yet to announce the global release date for this new smartphone.
