Beware! Xiaomi Has Seized Over 13 Lakh of Its Counterfeit Products in Delhi

Xiaomi, the popular Chinese manufacturer which recently became India’s no. 1 smartphone brand, is continuously advancing its product lineup range in the country and has now seized over 13 lakh worth of Fake Xiaomi labeled products in Delhi’s Gaffar Market today.

The company has been fighting these counterfeit issues for a while now and this seize may give a slight release to the smartphone giant which as these counterfeit products have been eating into its profit.

Addressing a press conference at Xiaomi’s headquarters in Beijing a few months ago, CEO Lei Jun said that the biggest problem for the company right now is that there are many fake Xiaomi products in the market.

What is the biggest problem? There are many fakes – Lei Jun said, CEO, Xiaomi.

“If there were no counterfeits, our sales would be double or triple. The product has been recognized by everyone.”

“Police officers of Central District Karol Bagh Police Station along with the representatives of the company, conducted the raid where they seized over 2000+ fake Xiaomi products from four shop owners who were arrested for allegedly selling counterfeit Xiaomi products” – Xiaomi says in an official statement.

The fake imitating products were mainly including power banks, neckbands, USB charging adapter with cables, Fake branded Xiaomi earphones as well as the Redmi Air Dots earbuds.

If you are worried whether or not your Xiaomi product is fake or original, you can easily check it from the security code that is located at the back of the Xiaomi product’s package box. If it is the original Xiaomi product, a text will appear at the bottom saying “Query results of your product is genuine thank you for your use!“. And if it’s fake, the result will be “Security code of your query does not exist, re-enter or Please check carefully, beware of imitations!”.
