After the update of the new built of Google Chrome started to roll out again, Google warns its Indian users of the data leakage and phishing incidents that may be caused due to a bug issue.

Google released its updated version of Chrome with its latest 79.0.3945.93 built on December 11, 2019. The update protects the users’ password and provides more security to their accounts. However, the rolling out of the new update was put into a halt after the company found a potential bug problem in the newly built.

After omitting the issue and fixing the bug problem, the new Chrome 79 built is again made available for updating. Users are also informed about the issues and are warned about potential data breaches on some websites and services. Therefore, the Indian users are also warned through a pop-up alert that their passwords may have got leaked as a part of the data leakage.

Google is also recommending users to change their passwords accordingly to stay at the safe side. The pop-up alert goes as follows:

Check your passwords. A data breach on a site or app exposed your password. Chrome recommends checking your password now.

A report shows that the breach has leaked several passwords. Some of the Twitter users are also complaining that a lot of their account passwords have been compromised during the breach as per the notification alert they got.

The latest update seems to be offering a more secure data protection option to guarantee the safety of its users globally. From now on, the notification alert will pop up whenever there seems to be any threat of data leakage from the website you are browsing.

Chrome will also immediately warn you if your passwords are stolen and it would suggest you to change it as soon as possible. They also have been working on Phishing protection in real-time. To make the web more secure, Chrome’s Safe Browsing list refreshes every 30 minutes, protecting 4 billion devices every day against all kinds of security threats, including phishing.

The fixation of the new built is certainly willing to offer the users a far more secure platform to have a safe browsing experience. You need to update Chrome to avail of the benefits.
