Samsung’s Active 2 smartwatch that falls on the expensive side when it comes to smart-watches, since coming out in 2019, has had received mostly positive reviews. Samsung is one of the most trusted tech-giants, it goes without saying that the users expect the gadgets that come with the Samsung label, to be up to mark. However, some users have taken to the Samsung Community forum to complain about an overheating issue with the Active 2 watch.
A user has complained that their smart-watch is constantly showing the cooling message and that the battery is draining too fast. The issue is not with the smart-watch being old, as the user had bought it only two months ago. The problem consists as another user complained that their 2 days old watch is showing the cooling message too often and is shutting down every 10 minutes.
The users made is clear that the issue is not stemming from over-using either. Other Samsung Active 2 watch users have also come forward on the community sharing similar issues of overheating.
After using the watch only for 20 minutes, the battery went from 70 to 22 percent. Samsung care services could not offer any solution to the problem. In fact, Samsung customer support has told some users that there is nothing they can do about the issue and that the user needs to find another Active 2 smartwatch that does not overheat.
While the grievances expressed on the community forum mainly discuss the disappointments of the users, Samsung has not released any official statement regarding the Active watch 2 overheating issue.
However, the absolute lack of official statement does not mean that the complaints went unnoticed. A few Samsung Moderators have got back to the users who are having the overheating problems and has asked them to privately message them for them to solve the issue.
No further complaints regarding the solution or even comments were seen on the community forum.
