2018’s reboot of God of War has been the highest peak of PlayStation so far as the fans have throned the game with the best PS4 games of the year. Likewise, the fans are eagerly waiting for its sequel which will take the story further down the line, and the character of Kratos will also be further developed.

The fans might just get a sequel to the God of War as the director of the game, Cory Barlog sat down with PlayStation Access, and at the end of the ‘meeting’, he hinted at further developing the storyline soon.

As mentioned before, the new sequel will also focus on Kratos’ character development. Barlog has mentioned that he is interested in exploring the relationship between Kratos and his wife Faye. How Kratos met his wife, and how the consequent relationship between them followed.

However, before diving deep into their relationship, Barlog wants to add weight by having players know what happens next.

Even though Barlog has not stressed Faye and Kratos’ partnership, and maybe it would not be the focus of the game, it looks like it is on the agenda.

The story of Faye and Kratos meeting – there’s less weight when you don’t know anything that’s coming ahead, right? Meeting her needs to actually feels like something.. that you already know the story that we told her, so that there’s a greater weight behind who she is. She’s got mythology built up – Cory Barlog, Director.

However, no official statement has been released in favor of a God of War sequel. The sequel may perhaps come out two years down the line.

God of War managed to deliver excellence to its fan, and the sequel, without any doubt, will have to meet the expectations of the fan. If the sequel takes time to come out, we can only hope, the wait will be worth it.
