A foreign media published a patent of what looks like the next smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi. The next smartphone is called the Mi MIX 2020. The prototype shown in the patent photos looks somewhat different from the kind of smartphones that Xiaomi brings out. It even looks different than the last Xiaomi smartphone.

The patent images leaked on the website shows that the supposed Mi MIX 2020 will have a dual camera set up mounted on its rear, and will also feature a secondary screen design.

It is clear from the patent that the MIX 2020 prototype has a 100% screen on the front screen, a screen that is encased in an almost bezel-less casing. However, the front camera cannot be seen anywhere on its screen. As mentioned before, the smartphone will use a rear dual camera set up. The flash is situated in the middle of the two cameras.

There is a secondary camera just below the camera module. In all probability, the screen will be used to display information such as date and time. On its back, near the end edge of the phone, it carries the mark of the “MIX” logo.

In general consensus, it is believed that Xiaomi’s MIX series will be better equipped with a smartphone design best suited for its users. The body can be of the ceramic kind as sported by the MIX2, or the color ceramic design as seen on MIX3. It can also be under the full-screen design of the slider.

Xiaomi can play with the design any way they prefer. However, since only the patent picture has been released, it is not sure yet how the Chinese smartphone giant will end up designing the smartphone. The completeness of the patent is not guaranteed either.

For further information, we will have to wait until the company makes any official statements.
