It has been some time since Xiaomi has gotten into the smart home ecosystem, designing and manufacturing smart products for the household for everyday use. After keeping its users guessing about its next big product on Twitter for two days, Xiaomi has finally revealed that the smartphone giant’s next product is an electric toothbrush.

Xiaomi is calling it the Mi Electric Toothbrush T300. The electric toothbrush is not available for purchase right off the shelf currently as it is a crowdfunded program, but if Xiaomi gets the adequate funding for 1000 units, the sales will begin on and from March 10.

Xiaomi Mi Electric Toothbrush is a bit different than those sold globally. The one made specifically for the Indian market does not have features such as app connectivity and oral hygiene data on the phone. Irrespective of the lack of, or rather limited features, the Mi toothbrush does come packed with convenient features that any electric toothbrushes usually have.

The toothbrush is rated IPX7 water-resistant, so contact with water would not damage the product. The brush uses DuPont TyneX StaClean bristles that claim to clear debris as well as plaque from in between the teeth. The magnetic levitation sonic motor produces up to 31,000 vibrations in a minute making it suitable for effective cleaning.

The toothbrush offers two modes – a Dual-Pro Brush mode for personal preference, and an EquiClean Auto Timer which pauses for 30 minutes after 2 minutes to let the user change sides.

The battery offers 25 days of power on a single charge. To fill up the battery, you will need to use a USB-C charging adapter with an output rating of 5W.

As for its design, it comes in a minimalist design in only a white color variant. For storing purposes, the electric toothbrush comes with a plastic head. Xiaomi will offer three color rings to differentiate one toothbrush from the other.

One single brush will properly function for up to four months on continuous usage. The electric toothbrush is priced at INR. 1,299.
