Instagram is preparing to roll out new features: Nicknames, Recent and Love Animation soon. These features are in test phase. They are expected to undergo further modifications before their final release. As of now Instagram hasn’t made them available and has been quietly working on them without attracting much attention.
Let’s see what each of these features bring to the table:
Nicknames:
The Instagram Nickname feature allows you to add a nickname in the contact details against a particular contact indirect. It’s only you who will be able to view this nickname. The given nickname will replace the username in chats and message notifications and will also make searching for a contact easier.
Recent:
Instagram Recent feature facilitates easy access to recent photos taken by your Instagram camera. Even if you delete it by mistake the photo will remain available for the set period of 7 days and you can use it as you like. The Recent section will auto-remove the photo after 7 days.
Love Animation:
Instagram’s Love Animation feature mirror’s animation feature of Facebook messenger. In Instagram’s case, this animation will be set into action whenever you like a photo either sent or received indirectly.
With these new features, Instagram aims to further personalize the user experience. The Nickname feature definitely seems very unique and gives a very personal touch to the user. The Love Animation enhances the emotional connection and the Recent feature prevents accidental deletion of the newly taken pictures.
