Mi MIX Alpha to Become India’s First 5g Smartphone, Coming to Mi Homes

Gone are the days of superfast 4G smartphones; the world is already moving towards 5G. Pacing up with the other competitors, Xiaomi is going to launch its first 5G smartphone in India. The smartphones will be available to select Mi Homes across the country starting February 22nd.

A February 21st Mi India Twitter post revealed the launch indicating that the phones will be first showcased at Mi Homes in Embassy Tech Village and Indiranagar, Bangalore. Thereafter, customers can get the Mi 5G smartphones at the other outlets around the country.

About Mi MIX Alpha

Mi MIX Alpha is the first 5G smartphone launched in India. Furthermore, this smartphone has a futuristic design that can be explored in many ways. The body of the smartphone is surrounded by ONE display. A Mi blog post reveals that the display of Mi MIX Alpha extends from front to back.

The display replaces the side frame and you can view the status and information there. In addition to that, the most used applications are there as gadgets on the back display. Interestingly, the smartphone has built-in humidity and air quality sensors that accurately tell you environmental information.

Mi MIX Alpha has innovative layered lamination technology that gives the phone a surround display. Along with it, the smartphone also has an in-screen fingerprint sensor with display acoustic technology to optimize the sound experience.

Most importantly, the new 5G MIX Alpha comes with a 108 MP ultra-high-resolution camera. The triple primary cameras include a SONY IMX350 20MP wide-angle camera, a Samsung S5K2L7 12MP telephoto camera and a Samsung HMX 12032 x 9024 ultra-high resolution camera. The cameras will let you capture photos with more details and depth.

The body of the MIX Alpha is made of Aerospace-grade Titanium Alloy which is 3 times stronger than the regular stainless steel. Additionally, the precision ceramic and sapphire glass give the smartphone better durability.

Mi MIX Alpha uses a 4050 mAh nano-silicon-based lithium-ion battery and also supports 40W wired fast charging. The smartphone runs on Snapdragon 855, comes with 12 GB of RAM and has ultra-fast UFS3.0 512 GB storage. Lastly, the teaser of the phone is very promising and we can surely say that Mi MIX Alpha will make a statement among the future phones.
