Redmi’s launch event for the Redmi K30 Pro not only introduced the new smartphone from Xiaomi’s subsidiary but also announced a few other products as well. Among various other products that were introduced at the event, what stood out the most is the Redmi Smart TV Max 98 inch.
The name of the Smart tv sort of gives the secret or the oomph away. As the name suggests, it is a huge smart TV with a 98-inch display and comes at the whopping price of 19,999 Yuan.
The Redmi Smart TV Max features 4K UHD resolution, and sports 85% NTSC along with 192 dynamic backlight zones. The 98-inches are somewhat closer to the size of a table tennis board. The smart TV runs on a 12nm processor and features 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
The General manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing, is indeed aware of the fact that manufacturing such a TV with a huge screen along with top-tier pricing is going to somewhat stunt the selling rate. He had stated that only 82 units of the previous 98 inch TV were sold.
Moreover, the TV also comes with a few installation complications. To tackle this problem, the company has promised an exclusive VIP delivery service to buyers of this new product. The service will include pre-sales communication, site survey, installation plans, a special delivery car from the TV, a professional team for the delivery and installation. Buyers will also be offered a 1 on 1 professional customer care service as well.
The Redmi Smart TV Max 98 inch will be available in the Xiaomi Mall and Xiaomi Home and will launch around 10 am on 9th April 2020. As mentioned before, the pricing of the smart TV starts at 19,999 Yuan or roughly 2825 USD.
