On April 16, Tinder’s official Twitter handle tweeted a mysterious message regarding memes. The tweet read, “You can’t spell dating meme without ‘date me.’”Naturally, it sent everyone following Tinder on a puzzling guessing game.

Some people even thought that the tweet itself is a meme and not a secret message of any kind. Little did they know that the famous online dating app is actually working on a new update, an update that is focused on tinder meme generation.

Quarantine and lockdown have sent people up against the wall with very limited things to do or even explore. However, it was thought that the dating apps would take a hit since people cannot go out during a time like this.

However, unexpectedly, the opposite happened, and a study revealed that people are now using online dating apps more than ever, just out of boredom. Online social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat is now filled with memes and what is popularly known as “shitposts” that make people laugh.

The reverse engineer, Wong M Jane who tweets about the new updates for apps before they actually get rolled out, tweeted about this new development in Tinder.

A few months ago, Tinder had released a new update that lets the users send messages to those people who have not matched on the app. Now this creating meme update indicates that the developers are taking every possible precaution and making Tinder one of the most used apps even during a global lockdown.

It is not yet known when this update will get rolled out, and Tinder has not revealed anything about it except that tweet. How this meme generation will work is also not known.

However, this much is certain that it will give the users something else to keep them occupied, and we can certainly expect some of the creative pick-up memes.
