Xiaomi has brought forward many household appliances in its Smart Home category for our own convenience. Now, it has come up with a brand new robotic floor vacuum cleaner in India at just INR 17,999. To add a cherry on the top, the vacuum cleaner uses a laser detection system that cleans your home smartly.

Xiaomi revealed the first look of Mop-P via a teaser on Twitter on April 17th. The teaser shows that the Mop-P robotic cleaner has the same appearance as the Mi robot vacuum model which was launched last year in China.

Features and specifications

The most notable feature of the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner Mop P is that it uses a laser detection system and intelligent floor mapping as the modern cleaning solution. Using an upgraded SLAM algorithm, this robotic vacuum moves along the room with the help of 12 sets of precision sensors including anti-collision and anti-drop sensors.

This solution saves the map of your room and lets the vacuum cross obstacles up to 2 cm in height. Additionally, Mop-P comes with a 2,100Pa suction and high-end brushless motor that also take care to see that every nook of your floor is clean.

Besides having a 55ml trash bin, Mop-P has a 2-in-1 water tank as well. Therefore, you can use it as a sweeping device or go for both sweeping and mopping. Furthermore, the water tank is electronically controlled and has three gears of water dispensing mode. So, you can choose the model depending on your convenience.

In addition to that, Mop-P includes two modes of cleaning for your convenience- Sweeping and Mopping mode and Sweeping-only mode. don't worry about the water clogging in the machine as it already has a prevention mechanism for it. It also offers dual direction repeated wiping for deep cleaning of your surroundings.

What's more

The mop-P robotic vacuum cleaner comes with a 3,200mAh battery which can easily clean a small room with a single charge. Don't worry if the battery runs out in the middle of cleaning. Mop-P will go back to its docking station and will resume the cleaning at the same point where it stopped previously.

This WiFi supported robotic vacuum from Mi includes a quad-core Cortex A7 SoC with Mali 400 GPU. It also makes around 70dB of operating noise in standard mode.

Additionally, you can control the Mop-P vacuum cleaner with your smartphone via the Mi Home App. The app also lets you set up a restricted zone for the robotic cleaner so that it doesn't enter an area that is inconvenient for it. Moreover. The Mi Home App also offers features like remote control, real-time mapping, schedule cleaning, spot cleaning, and room zoning to select a particular zone for cleaning.

Price and availability

Xiaomi Mop-P robotic vacuum cleaner is already available in India at INR 17, 9999. Originally, this amazing appliance costs INR 29,999. But, Xiaomi has decided to offer a huge discount of 7,999 for the customers. The users can also opt for no-cost EMIs of Rs 2,999 to purchase the device.

The device is currently available only in black. Mop-P can only be ordered using the prepaid option for the moment. It is also open for crowdfunding as the company aims to sell 10,000 units of the device within 30 days. Xiaomi will start dispatching the products from September 15 this year.
