Robust design

The Amazfit T-Rex is a robust watch designed to withstand extremes of temperatures. In addition, it is also touted to be corrosion resistant, and its water resistance capacity is limited to 50 meters (50 ATM), a standard in most digital sports watches. The device is also dust resistant.

Huami claims that the Amazfit T-Rex has cleared 12 regulations of the military-standard(MIL-STD-810G) quality test. This makes it a great gadget for outdoor activities like hiking, trekking, or sports.

Good watch for outdoors and sports

In terms of activity tracking, the T-Rex includes 14 sports modes. These can monitor heart rates and exercise statistics, among other data. The smartwatch comes with basic smartwatch functions like receiving notifications, weather updates, SMS and call reminders, or making mobile payments.

Multiple sensors, good compatibility, and GPS

Huami provides the Amazfit T-rex with a 1.3 inch (360×360 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartwatch houses an optical heart rate sensor (PPG), a 3-axis accelerator, a geomagnetic sensor, and an ambient light sensor. The device is compatible with Android 5.0 devices and higher, and iOS 10.0 and higher.

Amazfit T-Rex uses Bluetooth v5.0 to connect to your smartphone. Huami has also provided it with GPS and GLONASS for navigation.

Long-lasting battery

Coming to the battery, it packs 390mAh. Huami claims that the battery can run for 20 days when in daily use mode. The GPS usage limits the battery duration to 20 hours. However, its battery can last up to 66 days in basic watch mode. The watch takes around two hours to reach full charge.

Price

Huami hasn’t revealed the price of the smartwatch in India. Experts expect it to cost around Rs 10,000. The estimate is based on the pricing for the device in China and the US: which was CNY 799 (approx. Rs. 8,400) and $139.99 (approx. Rs. 10,600) respectively.
