Vivo Y50 Smartphone

Vivo has brought to the market its new smartphone after the online retailer Flipkart listed the smartphones on their website. The next smartphone from Vivo, the Vivo Y50 is a mid-range smartphone. The smartphone was first introduced in April.

The Vivo Y50 sports a 6.53-inches FHD+ iView display that comes with 1080 x 2340 pixels, and following the contemporary design, the smartphone features a punch-hole cutout design at the top left corner of the display.

The punch-hole houses the selfie camera. The smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. Moreover, the smartphone comes equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

The storage could further be expanded up to 256GB. The handset runs on Android 10 with Funtouch OS custom skin on top. Connectivity options could include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The rear end of the smartphone features a quad-camera setup which consists of a 13MP primary shooter, an 8MP wide-angle lens with 120 degrees field-of-view, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP 2cm macro sensor. As mentioned above, the punch-hole houses a 16MP selfie camera. Under the hood, it runs on a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast-charging.

In terms of design, especially the vertically-arranged quad-camera setup, a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner, the smartphone is reminiscent of the POCO X2 and Realme 6 Pro. Vivo has always aimed towards a more affordable market, and this remains the same for the Vivo Y50 also.

The new smartphone from Vivo is priced at INR. 17,990, which is also the starting price for the basic variant of the model, that of the 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone will be available through the Vivo India eStore, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tata CLiQ, and across all offline stores from June 10th.
