Verizon Wireless has finally released a software update that is focused on optimizing device performance, resolve known issues, and it would also cater to the latest security patches.
The latest update supports software version R765VVRU1DTE1. The update has introduced many changes. First off, the view for the app layout now could be changed.
The new version now comes with a “Screen always on” option which will keep the screen always on during a workout. The update aims at solving the issues that Bixby was facing for some time. Likewise, now Bixby has the ability to create laps by pressing the back key twice during a workout. The update also includes changes to the Quick Panel which now can show the battery level of connected earbuds.
Now, for the Samsung Gear S3, the latest update brings synchronized One UI between Galaxy phone and Galaxy watch. Moreover, the new update has also added more emojis keeping in mind the demand for such. Now the smartwatch could be used to edit or delete alarms set on the smartphone.
The Do Not Disturb status and setting values of both the watch and phone are now synchronized. Furthermore, a new option has been added which is “Optimize battery” which gives the user the power to change setting values that consume a lot of battery power. File-based encryption has been added for increased information security.
The software update also brings Tizen Operating System upgrade 4.0, along with exciting new features for your Gear S3 frontier. Now the Gear S3 could easily be unlocked by rotating the bezel only.
The same bezels also come with the added support of zooming in on a text or simply to navigate the device. Some other features such as calendar or weather could be accessed while on a call by clicking on the home button. The new update also introduces Theater and Goodnight mode which could block unnecessary distraction.
The addition of the Voice Assistant made everything easier for the Gear S3 users as now the users can use voice commands on apps such as Samsung Health, Pay, and SmartThings.
