Xiaomi has launched its latest Mi Band 5. Ahead of its launch, the Chinese tech giant released key information about this new device through Weibo.
Xiaomi Mi Band 5 comes with a camera remote, NFC payments, female health tracking, and a large display. The smart band features an extra-large dynamic OLED screen and supports magnetic charging. The OLED screen is larger than its previous models, and the new display screen comes with a 1.2-inches display screen. The previous model has a .95-inch display. Nowadays almost every transaction is made online, and this band would make the payment process even faster. The smart band supports NFC UnionPay and QuickPass making payments faster and easier. Additionally, it also comes with eleven professional sports mode setting the bar way high up for other fitness bands to follow. There is also a ‘professional sensor upgrade’ which refers to a new blood oxygen saturation sensor that will keep track of the user’s stress level and breathing. The band could offer service up to 14 days on a single charge.
The smart band is available in four different colours: yellow, red, green, and black. The price for the Xiaomi Band 5 standard version id 189 yuan, and the NFC version is priced at 229 yuan. The smart band is now available in China, and Xiaomi is yet to announce the global launch date.
Now, as for the Mi Band 5’s predecessor, the Mi Band 4’s price for the standard edition has dropped to 149 yuan, and its NFC version is priced at 179 yuan.
The band uses a 0.95-inches AMOLED high-brightness color screen with a resolution of 240 x 120 pixels. Xiaomi Bracelet 4 is equipped with a 135mAh battery. It comes with a heart rate earning function which will remind its users whenever the heart rate becomes high. In addition, Xiaomi Bracelet 4 NFC version also has built-in Xiao Ai classmates, sports, alarm clock, heart rate function.
