With the beta testing program announced by Xiaomi, June 18 marked the selection and stable update to MIUI 12 in POCO F1, Redmi Note 8 Pro, and Redmi Note 7. Yesterday the tester recruitment result was released promoting a soon to arrive MIUI update in Redmi Note 8 Pro which is to be visibly seen during the second roll-out.

The company promised to retain the same build-up for the users used for tester recruitment. However, this update is still not out yet. Xiaomi had allotted only those users who applied for a slot in the Mi Pilot program to run this tester update on their phones. Interested users were requested to provide the company with certain specific details that also included personal information that not everyone was willing to do.

This new updated Redmi Note 8 Pro will come with a V12.0.0.4 QGGMIXM version and might weigh over 600 MB. Xiaomi also warns other users who had not enlisted for the Mi Pilot program against trying to install the update manually or by any other means. They are rather suggested to wait until the second roll-out appears. Xiaomi’s Public Service Announcement insisted members of the Mi Community as well as those who own the Redmi Note 8 Pro phone not to attempt in installing the MIUI 12 Stable Beta if not affiliated with the Mi Pilots laboratory team.

“You might search online and find unofficial ways to install the version, but beware that these unofficial methods may completely damage your phone. The severity of the modification has already been mentioned in the Redmi Note 8 Pro.”

Any forced attempt from the non-Pilot registrar could cause the phone to malfunction as the chip inserted into Redmi Note 8 Pro does not validate any download format. Users thus will have to wait till the programming is completed and to install it when they release the update through their official channel.
