citizenM’s new app is all about the contactless, in-room experience

With the resuming tourism plan, hoteliers are trying to follow new protocols, conforming to the updated policies that include travel safety tips during COVID-19.

But the ‘affordable luxury’ brand citizenM has taken a step further by developing its very own app to provide a safe and contactless experience for their customers. This radicalizing step once again proves how efficiently citizenM is trying to handle customer safety.

Earlier, while the other companies were battling economic decline followed by the pandemic, citizenM tried to distribute devices like iPads to keep people connected. Moreover, their sensitivity towards the common mass led to introducing various technological upgradation to uphold the hygiene and safety motto.

The contactless experience not only confirms better customer experience but also assures employee safety. By introducing this app, citizenM simplifies the hotel stay further where customers can easily have the usual access without contacting the touchpoints.

The app can help open the room lock through mere scanning, as well as controlling lights, room temperature, and blinds. The check-in and check out are done through digitization, and one can go for opt-in room service only when they want to.

Citizen App

This app also comes with an in-built remote controller, used for entertainment control. Customers can also order food through this app, which is to be either delivered packed and sealed or collected from the canteen. Another feature of the app includes notifying for an extra pillow, blankets, or toiletries.
