Amazon Prime Day is dedicated to the Prime members, availing unbelievable, exclusive discounts on products to encourage them to maintain an accord in the field of eCommerce section. Prime Day has set a tradition for over 6 years and is known to be celebrated around mid-July every year.

However, due to the unprecedented pandemic scenario, the event has been shifted to next month. India has launched it’s official consecutive dates where the event and is supposed to begin on August 6th to terminate the next day. However, this is not the same globally.

Italy is still hovering with a possible date to announce concerning the safety production and delivery of all items. It might not resume until the conditions have normalized to an extent and there is no press release from Amazon yet on the postponed date.

This year we’ll be holding Prime Day later than usual while ensuring the safety of our employees and supporting our customers and selling partners. We are excited Prime members in India will see savings on August 6-7, and that members all around the world will experience Prime Day later this year. We look forward to sharing more details soon, – Amazon spokesperson

In America, the situation is very different. Despite its excellence as a premium brand in the eCommerce section, this globally acclaimed brand is failing to meet the surging customer demands. In fact, the COVID scenario is restricting in ultra-speed delivery and Amazon has already failed to pace up to people’s expectations concerning delivery dates.

America has not yet specified any date, but the event presumably might be held around September/October.

India’s Prime Day 2020 might bring new deals, great discounts, and new launches. Last year, Prime Day was held on July 15th and witnessed exclusive deals on a wide range of products varying from 4K HDR TVs, headphones, wireless chargers, Amazon Echo and Fire products, smartphones, and more.

However, this year the hype might not level up to that of last year’s. But India’s release itself is a step ahead.

The pandemic scenario has somewhat benefitted in a dramatic shift to digital shopping. A new report from Deloitte has observed more than 50 consumers switching to eCommerce as convenient with its contactless shopping, on-demand fulfillment, and inventory availability. However, the sudden rush in customer demands seems to destabilize the situation and it might take more time to cope up and reach a further solution.
