iOS 14 Allows Google Chrome or Third-party Apps to Set as a Default Browser

In iOS 14, iPhone and iPad users can now set Google Chrome browser, third-party web browsers, and email clients as the default. This is the best option for Google users.

Users need the latest update of Google Chrome, available on the App Store, to change the default browser from Safari, on iPhones and iPad. Any standard URL will now direct the system to open the Google Chrome browser.

The iPhone or iPad device needs iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 to be installed. Apple iOS 14 is expected to release for all users soon.

How to change the default browser on the iPhone and iPad in iOS 14:

  1. Download the latest version of the Google Chrome browser from the Apple App Store.
  2. Open the Settings
  3. Open the settings page for Google Chrome
  4. Click- Default Browser App
  5. Click- Chrome

Apple has added system support for third-party web browsers and email apps on iOS 14.
