Besides the Apple Watch and iPad 8th generation, Apple unveiled the much-awaited iPad Air. This new iPad will be a powerhouse, as has been claimed by the officials during the launch.

The beautiful iPad Air device will have an immersive display with Liquid Retina technology at 2360*1640 resolution that will render the best in the segment visuals. It is estimated to yield around 3.8 M pixels to provide the crisp details that we all have been looking for.

The most significant feature will be the 6 core CPU and the 4 core GPU underlying the device that will be powered by an A14 bionic, that can handle all complex programs under the hood. Tim Miller, the VP of Platform Architecture talks about the complex algorithms that will run the functions in the new iPad. The CPU will thus be 40 percent faster and the GPU will be 30 percent faster than the old generation devices. The graphics performance will thus be enhanced to double that of the previous ones.

There has been an introduction to faster Neural design that will be able to perform 11 trillion operations per second and also yield a 2X faster ML performance. Around 11.8 billion transistors have been fed into the A14 bionic enabling the best inline performance and power efficiency.

Stylistically there has not been much of a change but the fingerprint sensor or the Touch ID will be a next-generation one and will be integrated on the top button. It is said to have a Laser-cut sapphire crystal in a machined stainless steel enclosure that will enable it to be more tactile and snappy. The new generation Apple iPad Air price starting from $599.
