Intel releases the Intel 188.8.131.5283 graphics driver. The new driver will be supporting Core Iris Xe (11th gen) core display.
This will be supplemented by many new features. These features include support for HEVC 12bit 4:2:0/4:2:2/4:4:4 decoding. There will also be support for encoding acceleration for Dolby Vision. The VP9 12 bit 4:2:0/4:4:4 decoding support is also present.
The CPU core will be arranged on both the sides as seen in the EU units. This will cause a problem as it will take up a lot of space in the Packaging of the CPU.
The Xe-LP (low-power version) will be based on the same architectural platform for DG1 which is an independent display. Xe-LP is the handiest and useful architecture for mobile terminals bearing units of execution up to 96.
There will be seamless gaming with this as has been promised. This shall increase the functional output of the already powerful Xe-LPI. This will be able to handle asynchronous calculation, and instantiation can be viewed, sampler feedbacks can be obtained while the media engine and display engine can be upgraded and updated easily, The former can be done with AV1.
Thus it will come handy in the coming days and enable a much better utilization.
