How to use Vidmore Screen Recorder for different purposes
1. Record videos
Step 1. Free Download and install Vidmore Screen Recorder on your computer according to your computer OS.
Step 2. After you install and launch this screen recorder, you will see four options in the software main interface.
To record a video, click the Video Recorder option, then you will enter the Video Recorder interface.
Step 3. Here you can customize the screen recording area, choose whether to open Webcam or not, turn on System Sound or Microphone or turn both on according to your need.
For example, if you need to save online movies, you should turn on “System Sound” and turn off “Microphone”.
If you need to record a video tutorial, you should turn on “Microphone”, whether to turn on “System Sound” depends on you.
If you want to record full screen, just click “Full”.
If you want to customize the recording area, click “Custom” to select either “Fixed region” or “Select region/window”.
“Fixed region” will display the common recording area with the specific value, while “Select region/window” will give you more controls to select the specific window or rectangular area.
Note: Before you select the recording area, you should open the window that you want to capture, so that you can get the exact recording area.
Step 4. After all the settings are made well, click the “REC” button to start recording.
Step 5. When you finish recording, just click the red Stop button to stop recording. Then a preview window will pop up to let you preview the recorded video. You can also use the clip feature to cut unwanted parts from the recorded video during the preview. If you are satisfied with the recorded video, just click the “Save” button to name the recording and choose an output path to save it to your computer.
2. Edit while recording
The built-in editing feature is the spotlight you should not miss in this screen capture software.
During the video recording process, you can edit the recording by clicking the Pen icon, then you can add a rectangle, ellipse, arrow, line, etc., into the video for marking.
If you are making a video tutorial, caption and callout can be added efficiently to help you specify the steps easily. You can also use the Eraser to clean the effects you have added before.
3. Preset recording
If you have many recording tasks but the settings before recording are identical, the Preset recording is what you need exactly. It enables you to create a preset recording and apply the settings to all the recording tasks.
Step 1. Create a new Preset task
In the home interface, click “More” and select “Manage” to add a new customized recording preset. Then in the pop-up window, select the big plus button to create a new one.
Step 2. Customize the preset settings
Give a name to the preset task, and select what you will need from Display, Record area, Webcam, Sound, Microphone, Video format/quality/frame rate, and Audio format/quality. Click “Save” and “Apply” to save the changes and apply them immediately.
Tips: If you want to create another Preset task with similar settings, you just need to repeat Step 1, and click “Get current set” to copy the settings from the first Preset task. Then just adjust the settings slightly to save.
4. Schedule a recording task
If you don’t have time to sit in front of your computer to wait for the recording to finish, you can schedule a recording to let Vidmore Screen Recorder record automatically without your extra clicks.
Step 1. Start Task Schedule
Task Schedule is the feature under Video Recorder and Audio Recorder. Enter the interface of one of the two recording modes, then click “Task Schedule” at the bottom.
Start 2. Make Task Schedule settings
Click the big plus icon and create a new task.
In the pop-up window, set the task name, starting time, recording length, and recording set from the Preset you made before.
After you save the scheduled task, the recording task will start automatically at the time you set.
5. Take a screenshot
It’s also easy to take a screenshot with Vidmore Screen Recorder.
Step 1. Open the screen where you want to take a screenshot, then click “Screen Capture” option in the main interface.
Step 2. A window will pop up, and your mouse becomes the cursormove. There are two ways to take a screenshot.
1. If you want to take a screenshot of a window, just move your mouse to the window, and left-click the mouse to confirm the screenshot.
2. If you want to capture a rectangular screen, just click and drag your left mouse to do it.
Step 3. You can also edit the screenshot with the editing options. You can draw a rectangle, arrow, line, etc., on the image with the color you like. You can also add captions into the picture by clicking the Text (T image) option.
