The XRhealth has come up with a new VR therapy application for aiding ADHD cognitive functioning like attention, impulsivity, and higher, more complex thinking functions such as: initiating, organizing, planning, and fully executing daily tasks by closely monitoring user progress.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic scenario, VR therapy has been mandated as per FDA policy for recommending it to ADHD patients by every clinic. Based on the brain plasticity principles, where the brain tends to regenerate itself following an obstacle that it needs to overcome, the application comes in aid by creating, monitoring, and adjusting the training process at every step.

It operates with the help of cognitive principles as shown in research results. Moreover, a user-adaptive mechanism, backed by eye-tracking technology renders flexibility by making the clinic expert adjust it according to the patient’s mental stability. It further motivates patients to proceed further through the enhancement of their performance. Speaking on this, Eran Orr, CEO of XRHealth comments,

“Our training method is able to help a child or adult brain better cope with ADHD….“The interactive nature of the therapy is able to give clinicians critical measurements of improved concentration and attention span as well as reduced impulsivity.”

This VRhealth application will provide benefits to patients through motor activation, with its digital cognitive training application, visual-auditory modes mimicking real-life activity. The application is used for precise information about patients’ performances, whereas, its eye-tracking technology is used for providing data for patients’ training, and monitoring.

It is confirmed that this will not be available yet till the next year, and will be updated on the XRhealth website. However, it will not be the sole method for curing ADHD condition but will be used as an additional tool along with the general meditative procedures.
