The Xiaomi-backed company, Huami teased a video on Weibo announcing the launch of a new smartwatch in China named Amazfit Pop for the “Double 11” sale season. Huami has also revealed all the details of the upcoming product.

The Amazfit Pop features a 1.43-inch HD color display which offers a screen resolution of 320 x 302 pixels and a pixel density of 305ppi. The company is also on the verge of pre-loading 50 different types of watch faces.

Furthermore, Huami is also thinking of making custom watch faces using the photos provided by the users. The smartwatch, the company claims, is waterproof up to 50 meters. It will also feature 60 sports modes. It performs the generic functions expected of any smartwatches, including measuring the distance traveled, speed, heart rate, calories burned, etc. It has support for 24×7 heart rate monitoring and comes with SpO2 blood oxygen detection.

The smartwatch can also alert the user if it finds any exercise that puts too much strain on the heart. Basic features such as notifications, alerts, weather, music control, alarm, etc. could also be found on the Amazfit Pop smartwatch. The company claims that the smartwatch could last up to nine days on a single charge. The smartwatch is packed with many features; apart from the ones mentioned above, other supports include sleep monitoring, stress monitoring, breathing training, physiological cycle management, and PAI health assessment system. It also comes with NFC so the users could use the smartwatch for bus travel as well as pay using Alipay offline payments.

Huami reported that the Amazfit Pop smartwatch will go on sale in China on and from 1st November. The device is currently priced at 349 yuan, and available for pre-order in China. A discount of 50 yuan is offered to those who are pre-ordering the device.
