OnePlus has invested around 100 crores in making greater reach in the retail market arena. It has planned to open 14 new retail stores that they call experience stores all across India. The best out of the lot is their largest global experience store in the Nizam Palace.
Thus, their expansion beyond their 30 stores has finally taken shape, and now the current reading stands at 44 if these are turned into reality. The points of sale (PoS) are currently at around 5000, increasing to 8000 with this new investment. The partnered offline stores are about 5000; the premium retail experience shall be increased manifold.
The Research and development wing of the company was first launched in the year 2019. The company has claimed, “Our strategy is intertwined with how we take the premium and the mid-premium smartphones to more markets in India than ever before…We are seeing a phenomenal amount of demand coming from outside the top four metros and top 10 cities. And this is not only happening for the premium but also the mid-premium space, also happening to the smart TVs as well.”
Poorvika, Reliance Digital, Croma, Bajaj Electronics, Poorvika, and Sangeetha are partners involved in trading their devices. The red veil was lifted to the store at Nizam Palace to give way to the black frontal way background where OnePlus Nizam Palace has been carefully branded.
Inside there is an Interactive LED Wall that puts up pictures clicked with the #ShotOnOnePlus hashtag; there is also a Community Lounge space on the Mezzanine floor, there is a special unboxing zone, additional lounge space for workshop and events, and beautiful cubicles which are standalone and serve the respective purpose.
